Traditional Dental Crowns
Traditional crowns require impressions and temporary restoration. The process usually takes two visits. During your visit, the doctor will prepare your tooth, take an impression, and send the molds to a dental laboratory. The turnaround time is usually 15 business days.
CEREC® Crowns
To maintain a natural look and feel, a porcelain CEREC® crown is best, as it can be matched to the shade of your other teeth. CEREC® crowns can be made in a single visit.
The process is simple: once the doctor prepares your tooth, CEREC® 3D imaging software takes a photo of your tooth using a special camera to create a digital scan. Once designed, the model is sent to our in-office CEREC® milling system. This process is extremely precise, ensuring that your newly placed restoration will have a fit that feels natural.
