What is cosmetic dentistry?
It's one of my favorite things to do in the office. Cosmetic dentistry is something that's very aesthetic but also functional at the same time. It's about making you smile, making you feel different about yourself, or even making you happy. I think the best way to do it is to focus on how you feel inside. I feel like cosmetic dentistry is really about how you feel about yourself and how you feel about your teeth and how you're eating and chewing. It's a combination of everything.
Cosmetic dentistry is almost the same thing as general dentistry, except with cosmetics, you're really looking at aesthetics more versus function. But I feel like if you're doing cosmetic dentistry, you should also be doing very functional dentistry as well, or general dentistry. Restorative dentistry is just restoring the teeth for function, while cosmetic dentistry also includes the aesthetic appearance of your teeth.

Cosmetic dentists can totally work with young children, depending on what you perceive as cosmetic dentistry. It's going to depend on the age of the child and what they need. But I feel like if you're already in orthodontics, if you're already in Invisalign, or you're on your way to doing cosmetic dentistry, then cosmetic dentistry is for everyone. Like I said before, I feel like cosmetic dentistry is also about fixing form and function as well as helping with basic health. I think there shouldn't be an age limit, but there will be considerations when you are young.

The first step is to get a plan ready, and from there we'll just go forward.
